Facts, Questions and Answers:

The following modalities are the basis of my expertise.  The rest are CEU's required by law to keep my massage license active.

Medical Massage: The application of specific treatment targeted to the specific problem(s) the client presents with, with specific outcomes being the basis for treatment. Medical massage is taking whatever style of massage the practitioner knows and applying that technique to specific conditions to bring about specific outcomes.

Reflexology: A complex modality that addresses and identifies the mass of 7000 nerve endings that are contained in the foot.  The application of pressure to specific points on the feet and hands to clear any blockages of life force, or Qi, that can prevent healing, help relieve stress and pain in other parts of the body, send signals that 'balance' the nervous system and other corresponding organs of the body

Deep Tissue: A modality that focuses on realigning the deeper layers of muscles, connective tissue, tendons, and fascia. Most beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension.

R.U.I.T.: This modality is the application of active stretching the muscle while applying pressure to the stretched muscle. Works well for injured muscles, plantar fasciitis and carpal tunnel, as well as sports injuries. I've taken this one twice! Still more to learn!
